Welcome to the Second Annual Trick-or-Treat 5-Miler
Going into our second year, we are excited to continue to provide our runners with an incredibly fun run and walk with big city amenities in the comfort of Tyler State Park.
This year’s race is scheduled for October 30, 2011 at 9:00 AM.
We are excited to introduce a series of exciting new innovations and race highlights race for our second year, including:
-PACKET PICK-UP: We have partnered with the Newtown Athletic Shoe Shop for packet-pickup. Runners will also have the option to have their packets mailed.
-TIMING: To provide you with a race time including your performance in your age division and the overall participant pool, we will be implementing Jaguar Timing technology, the same technology used at some of our nation’s top events. The timing tags are disposable and adhere to the back of your bib. The system reports an unprecedented success rate in timing and eliminates the hassle of attaching a ChampionChip to your shoes. Our timing company has upgraded their timing server and will provide all race participants with an SMS text message of their time upon completion of the event.
-SOCIAL TIE-IN: By using a new event registration service, you can easily share the event with your online social networks and let the world know you’re running!
-BEST COSTUME CONTEST: When it comes to Halloween runs, a fast time alone won’t cut it. While costumes are not required, they really do help make the race much more fun!
